Description

The second fraction of Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata) essential oil is intermediate between the lightness of the 1st fraction and the woody depth of the 3rd, offering a harmonious balance between floral-fruity notes and slightly woody-spicy nuances. Its olfactory profile is a balanced floral-creamy, with ample floral richness, a slightly resinous dimension, and greater persistence than the 1st fraction, creating a versatile and accessible Ylang. In perfumery, the 2nd fraction is widely used in complete floral compositions, balanced reconstituted Ylang, and floral-oriental accords where the aim is to work with the full dimension of natural Ylang in a single, well-constructed material.
