Description

Vetiver essential oil from Java (Vetiveria zizanoides), cultivated in Indonesia under specific soil conditions, offers a fresher, slightly more citrusy, and less earthy profile than its Haitian counterpart, making Java one of the most prized origins by perfumers for its versatility. Its olfactory profile is richly woody-earthy, with smoky nuances of earth after rain, dried root, and a slight fresh-citrusy note characteristic of Javanese vetiver, deep and exceptionally persistent. In perfumery, Javanese vetiver is incorporated into woody-chypre accords, masculine fragrances with character, and the natural bases of great perfumes where its noble earthy character anchors the composition with authenticity.
