Description

METHYL CEDRYL KETONE (MCK) is a synthetic raw material, of Chinese origin, belonging to the woody-amber family. It has a dry, woody and slightly amber olfactory profile, with refined cedar notes, warm dry wood and an enveloping musky-waxy nuance. A base ingredient widely used in men's perfumery, it structures woody-amber accords, masculine fougères, and modern oriental compositions. Its high substantivity and fixative effect make it an essential base ingredient (51st Amendment).
