Description

Gamma-valerolactone is a synthetic raw material, part of the gourmand-lactonic family. It has a soft, slightly herbaceous milky olfactory profile, with notes of warm cream, milk, and a characteristic slightly woody-vegetal touch. As a base ingredient, it enriches lactonic accords, creamy orientals, and gourmand compositions with a milky profile. Its chemical stability and good longevity make it a versatile lactonic fixative, to be dosed according to the desired lactic intensity.
