Description

Trans-2-cis-6-Nonadienal is a synthetic raw material belonging to the family of green aldehydes. It presents an intense and aquatic green olfactory profile, with characteristic notes of violet leaf, fresh cucumber, and a melon-aquatic touch. An extremely powerful top note ingredient, it is used at infinitesimal concentrations to provide an authentic vegetal-aquatic signature in green accords, marines, and modern aquatic compositions. Its perception threshold is very low — a dosage of just a few ppm is enough for a striking olfactory impact.
