Description

THYME ABSOLUTE 100% NATURAL is obtained by extraction with hexane and then ethanol from the aerial parts of thyme (Thymus vulgaris), concentrating all aromatic molecules, including those too involatile for distillation. Its olfactory profile is intensely herbaceous-aromatic, richer and more complex than the corresponding essential oil, with spicy nuances of thymol, herbaceous phenols, and a slightly balsamic-woody base of remarkable persistence. In perfumery, thyme absolute brings an authentic and deep botanical dimension to aromatic-fougere accords, Mediterranean masculines, and vegetal-spicy compositions that seek to evoke the garrigue and herbs of Provence.
