Description

TONKA BEAN ABS is solvent-extracted from the aromatic seeds of the wild teak (Dipteryx odorata), an Amazonian-Guianan tree whose beans are one of the most precious and versatile natural raw materials in perfumery. Its olfactive profile is intensely gourmand-natural, dominated by coumarin and notes of creamy vanilla, cut hay, sweet almond, light blond tobacco, and a balsamic woody warmth, making it an exceptional base note. In perfumery, it is essential in classic fougères, gourmand orientals, and tobacco-vanilla accords, but its dosage must take into account restrictions related to coumarin content according to current IFRA regulations.
