Madagascar black pepper essence is obtained by steam distillation of Piper nigrum berries cultivated in Madagascar. Its olfactory profile is spicy, slightly woody and terpenic, with the very characteristic fresh and pungent black pepper note, and the specific nuances of Malagasy productions—slightly fruitier and less acrid than some Indian origins. Madagascar is renowned for its high-quality spices.
