Description

Pentadecanolide is a synthetic raw material from the macrocyclic musk family. It has a warm, slightly animalic musk olfactory profile, with soft civet-like musk notes, a muffled animal depth, and remarkable persistence on the skin. A structuring base ingredient, it is used in natural musk bases, sensual orientals, and refined animalic compositions. Its high diffusion on the skin and its fixative power make it an essential component of musk bases—to be dosed in synergy with other macrocyclics for a deep musk.
