Description

Peru balsam essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the resin of Myroxylon balsamum var. pereirae, native to Central America. Its olfactive profile is balsamic, slightly gourmand and spicy, with notes of natural vanilla, sweet cinnamon, and a very smooth warm resin. Used for centuries in classic perfumery and traditional medicine, it brings a very precious oriental-balsamic depth. Present in countless great oriental classics, it is one of the pillars of balsamic perfumery. It pairs perfectly with benzoin, vanillas, and warm musks in enveloping oriental creations.
