OXYOCTALINE FORMATE is a synthetic raw material from the amber-woody family. It has a dry and warm amber woody olfactory profile, with cedary notes, slightly balsamic sandalwood, and a subtle earthy nuance. A base ingredient, it brings a solid woody-amber foundation to masculine compositions, woody orientals, and modern chypres. Its good substantivity and compatibility with many other ingredients make it a structural ingredient appreciated by perfumers—classic base dosage between 2 and 8%.
