Description

Balkan oregano essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the aerial parts of Origanum vulgare and related species cultivated in the Balkans. Its olfactory profile is spicy, herbaceous and slightly phenolic, with the characteristic note of oregano – aromatic, slightly pungent and warm – in a Balkan version with nuances characteristic of this terroir. Used in Mediterranean aromatic creations, garrigue herb accords, and natural spicy compositions, it brings a very authentic natural spicy-herbaceous note. It pairs well with thyme, sage, and citrus in rustic and natural Mediterranean aromatic compositions.
