Description

Methyl paracresol is a methylated phenolic compound, naturally found in certain animal secretions and aromatic herbs. Its olfactory profile is animalic, slightly phenolic, and boasts a complex natural animalic quality, with nuances of animal musk and castoreum. In low doses, it adds a natural, warm animalic dimension to compositions. Used in micro-dosing in animalic-leathery accords, deep chypres, and grand classics with an animalic character, it brings an irreplaceable natural animalic quality. Its potency requires very precise dosing. It is one of the components responsible for the animalic character of many classic great perfumes.
