IRISONE ALPHA (IONONE ALPHA) is a synthetic raw material, of Spanish origin, belonging to the floral-woody family. It has a characteristic violet floral olfactory profile, with notes of iris, slightly fruity woody violet and a cedar-powdery facet. A versatile heart and base ingredient, it is used in iris and violet accords, powdery florals, and many feminine creations. Its widespread use and olfactory naturalness make it an emblematic ingredient in modern perfumery — no IFRA restrictions (49th Amendment).
