Helion is a synthetic raw material belonging to the floral-marine family. It has an aquatic floral and slightly powdery olfactory profile, with notes of lily of the valley, marine aldehyde, and a sweet and diffusive phenylpropionaldehyde facet. A heart ingredient, it is widely used in aquatic marine accords, modern fresh florals, and unisex wave-profile creations. Its remarkable intensity requires very careful dosing — it is subject to IFRA restrictions due to its potential for skin sensitization, and its regulatory compliance is imperative.
