Description

Gamma-hexalactone is a short lactone offering a particularly interesting fruity-green profile. Its olfactory profile is fruity, slightly green, and has a characteristic herbaceous freshness, with nuances of fresh apple and green leaves that give it a vegetal modernity. Greener than most lactones, it is used in fruity-green, aquatic, and contemporary herbaceous creations. It contributes to the naturalness of green-fruity accords and harmonizes well with hexenals, green musks, and citruses in fresh and light compositions. Its high volatility primarily destines it for top and heart notes.
