Description

Dipropylene glycol (DPG) is one of the most widely used solvents in professional perfumery. Virtually odorless, it serves as the primary vehicle for diluting fragrance concentrates intended for direct skin application, ambient fragrances, and cosmetic products. Its low viscosity, good miscibility with fragrance materials, and good skin tolerance make it an essential formulation additive. Unlike ethanol, it does not evaporate, allowing for a gradual and prolonged release of olfactory materials. It is the reference dilution base for non-alcoholic perfume oils and roll-on perfumes.
