Description

DI OCTYL ADIPATE is a plasticizer and solvent from the adipate family, used in perfumery as a formulation adjuvant. Practically odorless in its pure state, it primarily serves as a diluent and fixative for fragrance concentrates in certain cosmetic and flavoring formulations. Its low viscosity and good compatibility with many fragrant materials make it a useful technical vehicle. It also has emollient and solubilizing properties that make it useful in perfumed cosmetic formulations. Its use in perfumery is mainly technical and does not directly contribute to the olfactory profile of compositions.
