Dimethyl heptanol is a synthetic raw material in the woody-amber family. Its olfactory profile is slightly woody, amber, and slightly terpenic, contributing to the roundness of woody and amber accords. Used primarily as a modifier in woody and oriental bases. Usual dosage: 0.5 to 3%.
