Description

Delta-dodecalactone is a macrocyclic lactone naturally found in tropical fruits, dairy products, and some butters. Its olfactory profile is lactonic, slightly creamy and fruity with soft coconut notes and a characteristic velvety texture. Used in gourmand-creamy creations, milky florals, and natural coconut accords, it brings a very pleasant fleshy and sweet dimension. Its substantivity is excellent, and its contribution to creamy bases brings roundness and sensuality. Perfumers use it in "skin" accords and gourmand orientals for a second-skin effect that is very trendy in contemporary perfumery.
