Description

Alpha-damascone is one of the most sought-after isomers of the damascone family, rose ketones resulting from the degradation of carotenoids. Its olfactory profile is floral, fruity, and honeyed, with a fresh rose and plum note that gives it exceptional natural elegance. Naturally present in Bulgarian rose and tobacco, it is used in micro-dosing in rose reconstructions, floral-fruity, and delicate compounds. Its very high olfactory power requires extremely precise dosages, in the order of ppm. Master perfumers consider it an essential tool for the naturalness and complexity of rose accords.
