Description

Cumin essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the fruits of Cuminum cyminum, offering a powerful and characteristic spicy profile. Its scent is intense, spicy, and slightly animalic, with a specific sweaty aspect that distinguishes it from other spices. Used very sparingly in oriental and masculine leathery compositions, it brings an authentic spicy depth and a unique carnal note. Grand perfumes from the Middle East use it traditionally, and it forms a renowned base accord in oriental-woody creations. Its dosage must remain very low to avoid a "culinary" effect, but at the right dose, it is irreplaceable.
