Description

TRIETHYL CITRATE is the triethyl ester of citric acid, obtained from natural fermentative sources, used as a fixative, non-phthalate solvent and biodegradable plasticizer in fragrance and cosmetic formulations. With no marked olfactory properties (slightly lemony in its raw dosage), it acts by modifying the volatility of perfuming substances and improving the hold and diffusion of perfumes on skin and textiles. In perfumery and cosmetics, it is highly valued as an ecological alternative to phthalates in fixative-solvents for eau de parfum, personal care products and spray formulations; it is not subject to any IFRA restrictions.
