CINNAMIC ALDEHYDE is a synthetic raw material of Indian origin from the spicy family. It has a powerful and characteristic spicy olfactory profile, with intense warm cinnamon and cassia notes and a slightly balsamic-resinous facet. The most widely used spicy aldehyde in perfumery worldwide, it is fundamental in all cinnamon reconstructions and spicy oriental compositions. Its high potential for skin sensitization requires strict compliance with IFRA standards — mandatory declaration beyond regulatory thresholds.
