Description
Cedrene is a synthetic raw material, of Chinese origin, in the woody family. It has a dry and slightly earthy woody olfactory profile, with notes of dry cedar, terpenic wood, and a slightly camphoraceous facet. A sesquiterpenic component naturally present in cedar oils, it is isolated or synthesized for perfumery applications. A base ingredient, it provides a dry woody foundation in masculine compositions and chypres.
