BUTYL HYDROXYTOLUENE is a synthetic antioxidant of Indo-Russian origin, belonging to the adjuvant-stabilizer family. It does not have a significant inherent odor profile — its role is to protect raw materials and fragrance compositions from oxidation, thus preserving their stability and olfactive quality over time. It is an essential technical formulation ingredient in oxidation-sensitive mixtures — to be used at standard functional concentrations, in compliance with cosmetic regulations.
