Description

Benzyl benzoate is a synthetic raw material, of Indian origin, from the floral-balsamic family. It has a soft, slightly balsamic floral olfactory profile, with delicate white floral notes and a subtle woody-balsamic base. A base ingredient and dissolution solvent, it is widely used as a fixative and solubilizer in perfume bases and cosmetic formulations. It is subject to IFRA restrictions (51st Amendment) and is a regulated allergen that must be declared above regulatory thresholds in finished products.
