Description

Cinnamic Acid is a synthetic raw material from the balsamic-spicy family. It has a slightly spicy and sweet balsamic olfactory profile, with notes of cinnamon, benzoin, and a subtle balsamic-resinous facet. A base note ingredient, it is used as a fixative and as a component in balsamic-cinnamon accords and oriental bases. Its cinnamate structure gives it both an olfactory role and a stabilizing role in formulas.
