Description
Butyric Acid is a synthetic, British-made raw material from the Impact Molecules family. It has a very particular and penetrating olfactory profile, with notes of rancid butter, cheese and a characteristic animal-sweaty facet at high concentrations, but fruity-creamy at ultra-low dosages. Used in tiny traces as an impact ingredient in fruity compositions, creamy accords and certain animal-leather accords, it radically transforms the complexity of formulas. A dosage of a few ppm is essential—no IFRA restrictions (51st Amendment).
Synonyms: ETHYLACETIC ACID; 1-PROPANECARBOXYLIC ACID
CAS: 107-92-6
