Description

Benzoic acid is a synthetic raw material from the balsamic family. It has a soft, slightly medicinal balsamic olfactory profile, with notes of benzoin, slightly sweet almond, and a subtle balmy-floral facet. A base ingredient used as a fixative and acidity regulator in perfumed formulations, it contributes to the stability of alcoholic compositions. Its role is often more functional than purely olfactory, to be used at usual functional concentrations.
