- 104-67-6
Description
GAMMA UNDECALACTONE / ALDEHYDE C14, also known as Aldehyde C14, is a classic 11-carbon lactone of great importance in perfumery. Its olfactive profile is fruity, lactonic, and subtly peach-apricot, with a creamy roundness and a very pleasant natural sweetness. Found in peaches, apricots, and many stone fruits, it is one of the most commonly used lactones in fruity-floral creations. Its moderate substantivity ensures a heart-to-base presence. It combines perfectly with white florals, soft musks, and citrus notes in light, fruity compositions. A classic and versatile perfumery tool since the 1920s.
