Description

TERPINENE ALPHA is a monocyclic monoterpene naturally present in the essential oils of cardamom, wintergreen, and certain citrus fruits. Its olfactory profile is citrusy, fresh, and slightly herbaceous, with a subtle resinous note and a brighter character than its β and γ isomers, contributing to the top note in citrus compositions. In perfumery, it is used as a component in citrus accords, reconstructions of natural essential oils, and lavender-citrus formulas, where its volatile freshness contributes to the immediate impact of the composition.
